Wine & Beer Supply has partnered with Tonnellerie Bossuet to offer three excellent new French oak options. Choose from the top-of-the-line Thiméo, Classic, or exclusive “Coop”er barrels, or select used barrels.
All used barrels are cleaned and treated twice, sanded, tested for leaks and repaired as needed with new staves on site at Tonnellerie Bossuet. Laser stenciling of your winery name is available for a nominal charge.
Each of our French oak barrels are available with your desired level of toast, although the cooperage generally recommends medium to medium+ toast on these barrels depending on the desired characteristics and style of your wine.
Located in St Simon de Bordes, between Bordeaux and Cognac, Bossuet Cooperage is more than 25 years old and has built a strong reputation for producing high quality barrels for both French wineries and abroad. The cooperage focuses primarily on brand new oak barrels, and we have worked with Bossuet to develop a core selection for our customers. These are not discount barrels by any means but are first quality barrels produced in France with top quality oak.
This is the top of the line barrel, made from a selection of oak wood coming from forests from the Center of France. Thiméo brings all of the benefits of oak but the extratight grains achieve these benefits without the oak flavors. Results are elegant, your fruit is optimized, and wines take volume with soft ending tannins.
Ideal for: Delicate Red Fruit such as Merlot, Tempranillo, Pinot Noir where delicate and feminine aging is important.
Like the Thimeo, this barrel is made from a selection of oak wood coming from forests from the Center of France. Its tight grain shows respect to the fruit, bringing finesse, freshness and structure to help you produce elegant wines.
Ideal for: Red Fruit such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Tannat where you are looking for more volume and masculine aging with finesse.
This Barrel is an exclusive product created as a partnership between Tonnellerie Bossuet and Wine & Beer Supply. Like the barrels above, this barrel is made from a selection of oak wood coming from forests from the Center of France. It is made from a combination of approximately 50% tight and 50% half-tight grain which will bring shoulders and temper the wine without overoaking.
Ideal for: Any well-structured fruit.
